South Asia Gallery

The South Asia Gallery a permanent exhibit at the Manchester Museum UK opening gala was held in February 2023.

I was honoured to attend the opening with my friend and co-curator Ms. Shuma Pal, a resident of Manchester, along with our other Co-Curators of Science & Innovation, Nawal Prinja, Numan Azmi, and Saira Qureshi who are all now much closer friends.

I was also blessed to have been joined by my children, Eshna Sarkar and Ayushman Sarkar. I am very happy that they are able to experience this part of their legacy. 

Beautiful lobby of the South Asian Gallery Manchester Museum. The intricate and detailed art work represents diverse aspects of the history of Britain's relationship with South Asia.
